Privacy Policy
Our one-line promise: we help protect your family without spying on them. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we never build a profile of your child.
This Privacy Policy explains how Everloom, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Everloom,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use everloom.family and the Everloom service. It is written for the parent or guardian who holds the account.
1. Who we are & how to reach us

2. Everloom is designed for parents, not children
The service is for adults (18+) who are parents or guardians. Children do not create accounts, log in, or provide information to Everloom, and no child under 13 may use the service directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not solicit a child’s name, birthdate, photos, messages, or browsing history. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact privacy@everloom.family and we will delete it.
Most parental-control products work by collecting a child’s messages, photos, location, and browsing. Everloom deliberately does not. We protect at the household network level, and we never surface child-by-child browsing logs to parents.
3. What we collect, and why
We practice data minimization. We collect:
- Parent account info: your email (and name if you provide it), via our auth provider Clerk, to create and secure your account and send service email.
- Family setup: family name, timezone, household shape, and any household member labels/age-bands you choose, to personalize your dashboard and digest.
- Coverage status & telemetry: household-level, de-identified, category-level filtering status and counts, to run, secure, and verify coverage and produce the weekly digest.
- App & site recognition (background): to make our guidance accurate, we briefly process the domain names (for example, “instagram.com”) your household network connects to, at the household level, to recognize which apps and tools are in use. We keep this for a limited time (about 90 days) and then delete it. We never show it to you as a browsing history, never tie it to an individual child, and never see the pages, searches, or messages. You can turn off background app recognition any time by emailing privacy@everloom.family — we will stop new collection and delete the domain data we hold for it.
- Billing: subscription status; payment handled by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Site analytics: basic, privacy-respecting usage via Google Analytics, to improve the site.
- Support: what you send us, to help you.
What we do NOT collect or show parents: individual, child-by-child browsing histories; the specific pages, videos, posts, or messages a person viewed; a child’s own account, photos, or precise location. Coverage telemetry is household-level and de-identified, used only to operate and improve the service and produce your digest.
4. How we use information
To provide, secure, verify, and improve the service; provision and manage your family’s filtering; produce your weekly digest; process your subscription; communicate with you about the service; and comply with law. We do not use your data, or any minor-related data, for targeted advertising, to build advertising profiles, or to train AI models.
5. Sub-processors
We use a small set of trusted vendors to run Everloom. We name them so you know exactly who touches your data. None receives child-by-child browsing logs (we don’t create those).

All are US-based. We keep this list current as vendors change.
6. We never sell or share your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising. We share data only with the sub-processors above (to run the service), as needed to provide it; if required by law; or in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice).
7. How long we keep data
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it. We do not retain coverage telemetry indefinitely. Account data is kept for the life of your account plus a short wind-down after closure; coverage/digest telemetry on a rolling, limited window; the domain data used for background app recognition on a short rolling window (about 90 days) and then deleted; billing records as required by law.
8. Your rights & choices
You can access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete your account and associated data, stop further collection by canceling, turn off background app recognition by emailing privacy@everloom.family (we will stop new collection and delete the domain data we hold for it), and export your data. Email privacy@everloom.family; we will verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires. Depending on your state you may have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing” and certain profiling, which, for Everloom, we do not do. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Children’s & teens’ privacy
Everloom is a parent-facing service. Children do not register or provide information; all information is collected from the adult account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, build per-child profiles, or surface child-level browsing. If we ever add a feature that would collect information from a child, we will first obtain verifiable parental consent and update this Policy. Because the product is about minors, we voluntarily adopt the spirit of children’s-privacy and age-appropriate-design standards: high-default privacy, no profiling or targeted advertising to minors, and no manipulative design.
10. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to run the site and keep you signed in; these are required for the service to work and are not used to track you. Google Analytics runs only if you allow it on the cookie notice — analytics is off by default, declining is one tap, and we remember your choice so we never ask again. To change a saved choice, clear this site’s data in your browser (the notice will ask fresh) or email privacy@everloom.family. We do not use advertising cookies or sell analytics data.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (encrypted transport, scoped access, reputable infrastructure). No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Faith preferences
Any faith preference you provide is opt-in and parent-driven. We use it only to offer optional resources you ask for, and we do not use it to profile your family by religion or share it for any other purpose.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with a version number and date, and for material changes we will notify you and, where appropriate, ask you to re-acknowledge. We will not silently reduce your privacy protections.
